Textiles

I had a piece in this collect in an exhibition at God’s House Tower, Southampton, in 2018. This project is me exploring a different range of materials that I have used before, which react to my techniques differently. I have learnt how to crochet, knit, and saw during this project which has allowed me to connect to my childhood. As my Mum and Gran’ma used to teach me when I was younger how to do these techniques. Within this project I have been able to make a piece of clothing/artwork which was an amazing process to learn. My inspiration was from my childhood and nature which have allowed me to make organic shapes within my art. The materials I have used are wool, cotton, string, canvas, screen print and newspaper.
